The importance of speaking a second language is growing rapidly as travel is becoming easier and businesses are going international. While Italian might not be in the top three most spoken languages globally (English, Mandarin and Spanish), this may actually be to your advantage. If you are one of the few who can speak this language, you are likely to stand out and be more in demand, so lets take a look at our school in Venice...
The school that we work with in Venice, Instituto Venezia, is located in a historic building with a large terrace in the Campo Santa Margherita area of the city. It is a great location for students to meet the locals and do some shopping in the boutiques or relax in one of the open-air cafés.
The school is officially recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education, which ensures high quality language training. All of the teachers are native speakers and qualified in the teaching of Italian as a foreign language. Students have access to WiFi, a fully furnished self-access study room and the school's collection of films.

Host Family: Staying with a host family is the perfect compliment to your Italian lessons, giving students more opportunities to speak everyday Italian with locals and get a real inside look at the daily life and family culture in Italy. The host families are carefully selected for the quality of the accommodation and welcome that they offer students.
The families offer students single rooms (or double rooms if two students are travelling together). While meals are not included, students have access to the kitchen where they can prepare all of their meals.
Student Residence: The student residence is located in the historic centre of the city, in the Giudecca district. The residence has 25 rooms, a communal sitting room and kitchen, WiFi connection and laundry facilities. Students have single rooms (or double if two students are travelling together) with private bathrooms.
